The reply from Google was short and to the point and went along the lines of; it is our search engine and we therefore decide our own guidelines; if you want to sell text links that is fine but it may result in some form of penalty as this goes against our current. They were basically saying you can do whatever you want with your website and at the same time we can do whatever we want with our search engine. Fair play, I say. I am actually very happy with the new guidelines; it was very hard to compete with webmasters who had deep pockets etc. Now the one-man band can compete with the big corporation; hard work, keeping up to date with the latest guidelines as well as learning from the SEO experts will once again prove to be very beneficial.

We have a networking job coming up later this year in a new building being built and we’re going to install about 1450 Cat6 jacks. With so many different brands of Cat6 jacks on the market and with prices ranging from about $1 to $8 each what is the best value on the market?

If you’re a contractor and know your jacks you’ll hate these for lots of reasons and if you need to attach a Fluke cat 6 tester to it I can promise you lots of Cat 6 fails. If you’re a do it yourself-er you wont know any better but don’t be surprised if a couple of days go by and your jack is no longer working properly.
What about those $8 Cat6 Jacks? Lots of those brands have a following or market they focus on. The Leviton product is mostly marketed to electrical contractors who have worked with the Leviton high voltage side of things for a while and where they pick up their high voltage materials is where they get their low voltage. If you want a quality jack at a reliable price and for your big installation coming up I would install the Cat6 Kwik jack.
