Revolution for Dogs - What Pet Owners Should Know
When your dog is flea and tick infested, chances are your home is, too. In an attempt to prevent this, many dog owners take the time to routinely clean their home, bathe their pets, and vacuum their carpets - but sometimes the parasites keep coming back. That's why choosing a way to rid your home of fleas is a good investment - a natural one involves using salt. But they might only provide short relief - if your dog's fleas and ticks keep coming back and it keep getting reinfested, your home will suffer the same fate.
One of the easiest ways to treat fleas and ticks in dogs is to use a topical solution, one that's applied on the dog's skin. This is different from oral solutions, which must be ingested by dogs for such treatment to work. You usually have to grind the oral treatments into pet food, and mix them well for the dog to eat the whole thing. Others take the form of flavored chewables, so that the treatment tastes like treats.
Some dog owners prefer topical solutions over oral treatments - they have their reasons. They work fast, you don't have to mix them with dog food, and they are often only given once a month - so there are no x marks on the calendar (scheduled doses) that may be missed when one is busy. Even when you factor in the meat-flavored chewable oral treatments - which some dogs do not like - there's nothing more convenient that squeezing a topical treatment tube and being done with the dose for that month.
With a topical solution you take one session with your dog, as you would when grooming it, and apply the treatment on the back of its neck. It's easy, just take a moment to wave aside the fur on the back of your dog's neck and apply the treatment from a tube - just squeeze it on your dog's skin. After that session, your dog will enjoy a month's protection from fleas and ticks - of course you have to do a monthly session to maintain the protection. What's going to assured kill off all those ticks and fleas in your dog is that one session.
Keep the carpet well-vacuumed, the house routinely tidied up, the kennel clean, the pet beddings washed - in short, stick to this pet health maintenance routine. But at least you can rest assured the next treatment is far off - next month. Why is Revolution for Dogs one of the most popular topicals on the market? Along with ease of use, Revolution also gives month-long protection from fleas, ticks, and prevents heartworm infestation.
Make sure you apply Revolution for Dogs one the same date each month, with each treatment sessions 30 days apart.

Frequently Asked Questions...
How old does my puppy have to be before I can put a flea collar on her?
We have used flea collars on our other dogs before and they have worked out really well. I want to put one on my puppy but I have not been about to find any for her. All the ones I have seen are for older dogs. Do I need to wait till she is older to get her one?
Well I am sorry flea collars have not worked for some of you, but they have always worked for us. And they have never smelled bad. I don't know what you are talking about.
Answer:
On the different products out there will tell you how old your puppy needs to be. Put a flea collar inside your our vacuum bag to kill any fleas that get into the bag.
Personally I do not put anything with chemicals on my dogs. I don't think they are safe for the dog.
